Today is the first day for a new start. About a month ago I started to rewrite my beloved personal music player with gleam and zig. The playing part of the player was already written in zig but the frontend was in Flutter. Don't get me wrong I still love Flutter for what it can do but with time I just found even how great Flutter can be, they are some stuff where Flutter don't really shine. One of those aspect is text rendering and pictures.
But like said in the beginning, I'm restarting the rewrite. That's something I did not expected to do but because in a tragic and sad story where I broke my Mac Mini activation lock and APFS ownership id. I was forced erase the Mac and I lost everything I done during the month.
However I don't see this tragedy like a moment for tears and disappear, except it is not. For me it's the right moment to take a fresh start knowing what challenge will occurred to me and also a chance for me to redeem myself.
In the beginning of this rewrite I wanted to keep what make's me, me. However by the temptation and some of the hard and very obscure problem, I did fall in the falish of using LLM code generation tools such a claude code. They did what they were ment to do and solve those hard and very obscure problem but those tools can do more, and it's this more that bite me by using them more and more for less complex issue.
I did go from a place where I could call home to a place where someone has repaint and rearrange every rooms. And so it's was like the old place I knew was dead.
So since everything from this past has been lost. This is the perfect moment to rebuild everything with only the power of my mind. Take back what was mine.
